Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.

Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.

Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and finally splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.

Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt from March of that year.

Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.

"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.

Medvedev's defensive play style and regular reactions on court had caused some to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was finished.

However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an better serve.

Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.

Both players swapped breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his first tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.

He defended 4 early break points in a tight third set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.

Appropriately, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent failing to control a return after over two and a half hours.
